How can I learn to communicate with animals?

How is this book any different from other books? Why should I read it?

ANSWER: To the best of my knowledge, this is the first book co-authored by a cat. Diana hoped she might be able to help persons going through difficult challenges in their lives by sharing what helped her cope with loss and illness and return to living with joy, love, and a sense of purpose.

You should read this book if you are interested in knowing more about a cat’s perspective and awareness, or if you’d like to know more about how a very skeptical human, Miri, finally learned to communicate with Diana.

Can you really communicate with animals?

ANSWER: Yes, I really can, when I slow down enough to tune in. I didn’t believe it was possible at first, at least for me! But Diana, and some human teachers, too, helped me to realize that it is truly possible to not only clearly talk to, but also “hear” my animal companions if I come to the task with a clear intent, respect, and openness to whatever they might want to share. In our book, after Diana’s story, I share how I learned to hear Diana, and what all it took for me to trust what I heard from her.

How did you know it was possible to communicate with animals?

ANSWER: I was initially quite skeptical about the possibility that a human could communicate with animals in a way that included hearing specific details and information from the animals’ thoughts and feelings, as this went against my early religious and scientific training. This all changed when Samantha Khury, a professional interspecies communicator, shared with my husband and me what our cat companions, Diana and Jason, had shared with her. We could no longer doubt that two-way communication had occurred between our cats and Samantha because of the validity of the things Samantha reported to us, and the subsequent changes in Diana and Jason’s behavior.

How do you know that what you’re getting is truly from Diana?

ANSWER: As I was learning, I was often not sure. As I worked more with communicating telepathically, I developed a sense of when I was receiving something accurately and when it was mixed up with my stuff. For me to receive information clearly from Diana, I had to consciously slow down my mind, inwardly create a receptive, open space, and then focus my awareness on Diana. I also had to learn to trust that first sense of knowing I received, when my heart felt it to be valid, and stop questioning or trying to figure it out rationally, as telepathic communication is not a rational process.

Can an ordinary person like me learn to communicate with animals, or does it take some special aptitude?

ANSWER: YES! You Too Can Learn to Communicate With Your Animal Companions. I believe that we all have the innate potential to learn to communicate with, and hear, animals if we truly want to do so. In a way, it is a kind of re-learning, or opening to something we already know deep inside. It does require setting aside the rational linear way of thinking and being that we are mostly so used to in this culture and society, believing it is possible and truly wanting to communicate two-way with animals, and setting aside time for this purpose.
